Yes, another newbie~

Hello everyone.

I'm LadyMaugre, but you can just call me LM, Lady, Mau, or something of that sense. I am from the United States but I currently reside in China. I am a high school student, and I hope that one day I can become a good story teller in roleplaying, writing, and making comics. I love to draw, especially in the manga/anime types of styles. Sometimes I write, but i'm not particularly capable of writing a whole novel on my own, so I like to roleplay to satisfy the crave to write. I also like a wide range of music, especially symphonic metal, alternative rock, and pop rock. My favorite literature and manga/anime genres are fantasy, mystery, psychological, romance, action, adventure, drama, and comedy. I also enjoy playing MMORPGs even though I'm not a very good gamer, and I currently play AdventureQuest Worlds and Runescape. I'm always looking for new music to listen to, new books/manga to read, and browser MMORPGs to play~

Now onto roleplaying, which is probably the focus of this whole site, so i should stay on topic.

I am not new to play-by-post roleplaying, as I have started getting into this as a hobby five years ago. However, I am new to this site and sites that work similarly to this. I am more accustomed to roleplaying on those forum sites where OOCs aren't necessary and it's possible to simply start a roleplay and wait for sign ups. I got bored of that, due to the high probability of Mary Sues and whatnot, so I started exploring and I found this site. This format may take a little time for me to get used to, since I've always done the simplest roleplays ever, and any pointers are greatly appreciated as I explore the site's features.

I'm a semi-literate type of roleplayer and I usually play female characters, but I'm slowly training myself to get to know a guy's psychology so that I can play male characters as well. I strongly prefer original roleplays, not fandom roleplays, since I never stay in a fandom long enough to be able to roleplay that way and I feel weird using someone else's characters/ideas/world/etc. I enjoy roleplaying a wide range of genres. (Yeah, I'm a person who can go with the flow if she must, since I like sooooo many things). My current cravings are for romance, action, drama, and mystery in an urban fantasy setting. If anyone knows a roleplay with that type of genre, let me know; I'd like to check it out!
